This jewel of Art Deco architecture was awarded the “20th Century Heritage” label in 2011.
A mosaic decor by Isidore Odorico and a stained glass window by Auguste Alleaume give the place a precious appearance.

Guided tour of the museum

Founded in the XIᵉ century, the castle was the residence of the Counts of Laval until 1794.
Its keep from the early XIIIᵉ century, culminating at 34 m, illustrates the evolution of military architecture.
In the XVIᵉ century, the Renaissance left its mark on the interior facades, adorned with sculpted stonework.
