From Isfahan to Istanbul, from the Mongol steppes to the peaks of Anatolia, the Orient has always fascinated painters, writers and musicians. Accompanied by Iranian artist Sogol Mirzaei, a virtuoso on the târ (a traditional Persian instrument), the Ensemble Instrumental de la Mayenne brings together classical works and those of contemporary Oriental composers, combining symphonic élan and traditional colours in an astonishing musical journey.
