Parking Place du Gast

D Start at Place du Gast. Turn right into rue de Vaufleury, left into rue du Bourg Hersent, then left into rue des Chanoines polongée via rue de la Philipotière and rue du Panorama. Turn right into rue du Pignon des Coteaux, then left into rue du Ponceau, rue d'Avesnières and rue de l'Huisserie, then left into rue de l'École.
1 - Basilica of Avesnières. Turn left onto the towpath. At the traffic lights, turn left up rue Hydouze and after 50 metres go through the gateway to the Jardin de la Perrine (views over the town). Exit at Place des 4 Docteurs Bucqet.
2 - Turn right down the stairs into rue des Chevaux and right into Grande Rue. After a few metres in rue du Val de Mayenne, go through a gate on the left and climb the steps leading to the courtyard of the Vieux Château. Exit at Place de la Trémoille, turn right down Roquet du Palais and left into Rue du Val de Mayenne. Cross Place du 11 Novembre and walk up Rue de Bel Air behind the Post Office. Turn left into rue Haute Chiffolière, then right into the lane leading to the school museum. After the old well, go through a gateway and continue straight ahead through the narrow streets. Cross rue du Britais and rue des Cornetteries opposite. Go down the ruelle des Cornetteries, cross the rue Bernard Le Pecq and turn right into the ruelle of the same name.
3 - Turn left into Rue de Rennes as far as the Toiles crossroads. Go up Rue Renaise and then Rue des Curés.
4 - Cathédrale Sainte Trinité. Cross Place Hardy de Lévaré towards Porte Beucheresse and enter the south rampart park (Promenade Anne d'Alègre). Go up Rue des Eperons, cross Place de Hercé diagonally and turn right into Rue du Docteur Ferron.
