Infinity trail

The backyard ultra phenomenon in Laval

Infinity Trail Laval – June 27, 28 & 29, 2025

An unforgettable edition marked by endurance, mental strenght, and self-improvment.
They held the loop for as long as possible… and went to the end of themselves.
An extraordinary challenge, a unique adventure. Thank you to all the tireless participants

Laval has risen to the challenge

The course for the 1st Infinity Trail de laval was a veritable compendium of all that the Mayenne region has to offer!
Frequently easy undergrowth paths… but sometimes quite steep, bucolic riverside paths, panoramic views to enjoy the run in the sun from morning to evening, all in a 100% natural environment at the gateway to the city!
The start and finish were hosted at the Asinerie du Bois Gamats, an authentic and singular place, both preserved and welcoming !

Push your limits!

Infinity Trail is an official Backyard Ultra circuit in France! Accessible to all, it plunges you into unique and magnificent locations for an extraordinary endurance experience.

💡 A simple but formidable concept: inspired by Lazarus Lake, the creator of the legendary Barkley, the Infinity Trail follows a single rule…

🔁 6.706 km per loop
⏳ A start every hour
⏱️ Finish in under an hour to continue

Finish a loop in 45 minutes? You have 15 minutes to rest.
Do you complete it in 58 minutes? You’ve only got 2 minutes before the next start.

🔥 The aim? To last as long as possible.
🥇 The winner? The last rider able to complete a loop.

How far have they gone?💪🚀

Decoding the challenge

Laz imagined a loop to be completed 24 times (i.e. in 24 hours) to reach 161 km – the famous 100-mile distance, a veritable legend in the United States!

Although the figures may be impressive, the format remains accessible to all!

The concept  is simple: run 6.7 km in less than 1 hour, that’s an average speed of 6.7 km/h. Accessible, isn’t it? Whether you’re aiming for 3, 5 laps or more, there’s a place for you! 💪

On the Backyard in Laval, two participants stopped on the 1st lap, and the average for participants was 10.7 laps. No pressure, just the pleasure of surpassing yourself.

This loop format is ideal for testing out longer distances, getting close to ultra trail running or simply beating your own records. Plus, you always return to base camp every hour and are never more than 3km from the start – it’s a safe race, even at night. 🌙

And here’s a statistic that may convince you: 50% beat their distance record and 20% double it!

So what are you waiting for? We’ll see you in 2026!
