Official Selection - Festival de Cannes 2024
Spring 2018, a wave of protests sweeps across Chile. Julia, a music student, joins her university's movement to denounce the harassment and abuse to which students have been subjected for too long. As she finds the courage to share with the students a memory that haunts her, she unexpectedly becomes a central figure in the movement. Her intimate and complex testimony becomes a wave that shakes, disturbs and disarms a polarised society.
This is a film of astonishing vivacity and energy. When the fight for women becomes solar and powerful. The direction is virtuoso and we let ourselves be carried along by Julia, the figurehead of this emancipation movement. Formidable. - Atmosphères 53
