End-of-year festivities in Changé
// Friday 28 November: a magical opening to the festivities!
From 4.30pm, the Christmas Market will welcome 12 creative exhibitors, 3 foodtrucks, a bartruck and two community chalets selling hot drinks and sweet treats.
Children will be able to take part in a face-painting workshop run by the Children's and Young People's Department, and Father Christmas will be making an appearance to the delight of young and old alike!
At 7pm, the town will be lit up with a thousand lights. The evening will end in style with a fireworks display at 8pm.
// Saturday 29 November: market, workshops and fun
The Christmas Market will reopen its doors from 10am to 6pm with the same exhibitors and delicacies.
Several creative workshops will be on offer:
10am-12pm and 4pm-5pm: "Christmas Decoration" workshop with La P'tite Récré (for children aged 2 to 10 - participation: €1),
2pm-4pm: "Stars in rushes" workshop run by the Sèmeliens association.
2pm-4pm: face painting for children by the Twinning Committee
All afternoon: the Comité de Jumelage (Twinning Committee) will help young and old alike to write greetings cards for the town's senior citizens.
At 4pm, music will be played by the vocal and saxophone ensemble from the Laval Agglo Conservatoire. And for card lovers, a belote competition reserved for members of La Bonne Entente will be held from 2pm to 5pm.
A merry-go-round set up on the Place d'Elva will be brightening up the festivities all weekend long, and will remain in place throughout December.
Finally, all day long on Sunday 30 November, you'll be able to meet the associations that have changed at the Place d'Elva, where they'll be serving crêpes and hot drinks.
