Socorro is a stubborn lawyer with a single obsession: to find the soldier who killed her brother during the Tlatelolco student massacre in Mexico City in 1968. Her desire for justice has gradually driven her away from her sister Esperanza and her son Jorge. After decades of searching, the old woman finally seems to discover a lead that puts her on the trail of a mysterious soldier. To achieve her goal, she devises a plan that is as perilous as it is grandiloquent, with the help of her young neighbour Siddartha, who is as cheerful as he is unpredictable...
