Comparing the work of Nicole Caltot, a self-taught embroiderer, with that of her daughter Isabelle, a textile artist.

Two different generations, two ways of expressing themselves with thread and the machine embroidery technique, in two dimensions or in volume. Confronting two ways of creating, one totally spontaneous and the other more organised/controlled. Showing that creativity can be present, active and effective beyond education or age.
