Using interactive devices, digital media and life-size experiments, the ZOOM invites you to become, in turn, an acrobat, tightrope walker and acrobat to experience the physical phenomena behind the greatest circus acts!
From 24 May to 21 September 2025, ZOOM invites you to take your turn as an acrobat, tightrope walker and aerialist, and experience the physical phenomena behind some of the world's greatest circus acts!
The physical sciences are sometimes perceived as complex and abstract, yet they have concrete applications. The CIRCASCIENCES exhibition has therefore set itself the challenge of illustrating some of these major physical phenomena, by immersing you in the poetic world of the circus.
How does an acrobat feel during a trick? What forces are they subject to on a horse galloping around a ring or on a wire? What physical laws constrain the performers? Can physics be played with? What effect does speed or mass have on a figure? How do you create a human pyramid? Can you really fly using a seesaw?
Come and explore circus science through interactive displays, digital media and life-size experiments. Open your eyes wide and get ready for the show!
