A long-established company within the AIM Group (11 companies, 1,400 employees), AIMM has been a key player in metal processing and cutting for 30 years. Based entirely in the Mayenne department, it currently employs 220 people.

Based in Martigné-sur-Mayenne since 1912, Fromagerie Vaubernier is a story of families and passing on traditions. With 130 employees, the company produces 100,000 cheeses a day, using traditional recipes and milk collected (100 million litres a year!) from 155 collection points within a 40-kilometre radius. A staple on supermarket shelves, its products are also exported to over 30 countries.

Opened in September 1985, the Bellevue-la-Forêt racecourse is dedicated to trotting races, hosting 25 meetings a year. Designated a National Trotting Centre, it hosts top champions and Grand Prix races for the Tiercé, Quarté and Quinté+. SCOP Maille Création was founded in 1993 by 25 founding employees who took over their ailing textile company. To capitalise on its expertise in knitting and garment manufacturing within the high-end sector, the company has strengthened its support for product development (research, knit samples, prototype designs), whilst relying on a network of Italian subcontractors to handle all levels of production orders.

Each year, Maille Création develops and manufactures several collections of knitwear for leading names in luxury ready-to-wear, as well as for designers seeking specialist expertise (in terms of technique, innovation, quality and lead times).

May’Usinage is a production-based college specialising in machining, founded in 2023 to meet the needs of the industrial market. Students spend two-thirds of their time in the workshop carrying out real orders for local businesses, and one-third on theoretical lessons. This practical, ‘learning by doing’ approach enables them to acquire skills that are directly applicable in the workplace. By combining training with production, the school aims to develop operationally skilled graduates who are capable of tackling the industrial challenges of the future whilst meeting the practical needs of businesses.

Founded in 1925, Miroiterie Schultz, a family-run business based in Saint-Berthevin, supports both businesses and private individuals with their glasswork, joinery and glazing projects. With two specialist workshops and a showroom, it offers bespoke services, from technical design through to installation, including joinery, gates, pergolas, balustrades and exclusive HOMKIA products.

A farmer and Angora goat breeder, she creates mohair wool items, knitted with great care on the farm using wool from her own goats. She offers a wide variety of original French products – soft and warm, colourful and cosy – including hats, socks, throws, jumpers and cardigans, scarves and balls of wool… constantly updated in line with her own ideas and her customers’ preferences.

For over 35 years, Séché Eco-Industries has been working towards a circular economy: recycling waste into raw materials, recovering energy from it and managing the non-recyclable fraction. The Changé Environment Centre welcomes over 5,000 visitors every year to raise public awareness of waste-related issues and offer innovative solutions tailored to the local area.
