Now in its 10th year, the Fête de l'Histoire invites you to enjoy a friendly, free, inter-generational experience based around history, historical re-enactments and meetings with enthusiasts.
A fun-filled afternoon to discover the stories behind our history. An opportunity to come with friends or family to listen to lectures, take part in activities or meet associations working to preserve our heritage.
An exceptional round table discussion with Nicolas Cadène, former ministerial adviser on secular issues, to discuss how religions can be shared while respecting secularity. There will also be a tour of the psychiatric cemetery in Mayenne and the Laval wash boat. Not forgetting a journey through the Middle Ages and the Second Empire... Not to mention the rich and varied exhibitions.
On Friday, there will be a film conference to find out more about the people of Laval during the Second World War, with film director Stéphane Piau and three witnesses from the period on hand to talk about their experiences.
