Laval Tourisme and Les Abeilles Mayennaises invite you to discover the history of honey.
Although honey is still widely appreciated today, it has long been an essential part of our ancestors' diet and pharmacopoeia. Laval Tourisme has joined forces with Abeilles Mayennaises to invite you to visit their apiary in Saint-Pierre-le-Potier and (re)discover the history of this natural product.
The mediators from Abeilles Mayennaises will start by explaining the historical importance of honey and its many uses (in food, medicine, etc.). Then they'll take you on an educational tour of the different stages in honey production. Then, of course, there's the opportunity to take part in a tasting session! Finally, they'll talk to you about the challenges of protecting bees and biodiversity.
Practical info:
- Meeting point: Rucher du Potier - 330 chemin de Saint-Pierre-le-Potier - LAVAL
- Dates and times :
- Sat. 7 June: from 10am to 12pm
- Sat. 28 June, Wed. 16 July
and Fri. 29 August: 3pm to 5pm
- Single price: €16/person
- Open to all
