Inaugurated by the President of the French Republic on Monday 10 October 2022, Le 40 is the department's most important new hybrid venue for cultural creation. The 8,000 m² space will be dedicated to culture in all its forms. Music, dance, theatre, plastic and visual arts, a fablab, popular education, micro-folie and a library all revolve around generous spaces that showcase the well-preserved former architecture of Crédit Foncier de France. A visit to the 40 means discovering this exceptional Art Deco heritage, as well as all the activities on offer and, in a special way, the classrooms, auditorium and hidden corners of this still little-known building where teachers, technicians, project managers, mediators and administrative staff rub shoulders.
