Description
On Wednesday 3 June, the Laval Bellevue-la-Forêt racecourse will host the sixth leg of the Grand National du Trot, one of the major events in the French horseracing calendar.
Comprising 14 stages contested at France's finest racecourses before a grand finale scheduled for 6 December at the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes, the Grand National du Trot takes trotting to the heart of the country. A genuine "Tour de France" of trotters, it enables the public to admire the best horses and professionals on the circuit in a popular atmosphere that is accessible to all.
A key stop on the circuit, this year Laval will once again be hosting one of the highlights of its racing season, with the aim of offering the public a spectacular day of racing and an experience designed as much for enthusiasts as for families and the curious.
A day of entertainment for all the family
For this 6th leg of the race, the Laval racecourse will be offering a number of free events for children throughout the afternoon, to make this a truly festive day to share with the whole family.
On the programme:
children's merry-go-round
presence of Trotty, the mascot
inflatable structure
digital wall.
After the races, the day will continue with music and a DJ Set by Ibano, which will bring this stage of the Grand National du Trot to a close in an even more convivial and festive atmosphere.
The Trophy Tour goes out to meet the people of Laval
The Trophy Tour of the Grand National du Trot will accompany this 6th stage in Laval. In the morning, the trophy will meet the public at the PMU outlet "Le Bretagne", located at 166, rue de Bretagne, in Laval, as part of the Trophy Tour programme. In the afternoon, PMU will also be in the spotlight at the racecourse with the Prix Le Bretagne, a race at the meeting named in reference to the partner outlet. The presence of the PMU at the racecourse illustrates the regional and popular roots of the Grand National du Trot.
A gourmet village to make the most of the event
The public will be able to take advantage of the on-site catering facilities to prolong the experience in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The racecourse also has a gourmet village and a panoramic restaurant (book in advance on 02.43.06.10.62) so that visitors can follow the races in the best possible conditions.
