Screening of two short films: "Vertiges de pierres et rêves de jardins" by Cyril LE TOURNEUR D'ISON and "Pygmalion et le foulard" by Pierre BOURON
In addition to a free tour of the site, Les amis de la Closerie des Poiriers will be showing two short films.
The first, "Vertiges de pierres et rêves de jardins" ("Vertigo of stones and dreams of gardens") introduces visitors to the châteaux and manor houses of the Mayenne region, some of whose grounds, gardens and interiors are open to the public.
The second, "Pygmalion and the scarf", is inspired by Pygmalion, the first king of Cyprus, who fell in love with the statue he had sculpted with his own hands and begged the goddess Aphrodite to give him life. When her wish was granted, he married his statue, which had come to life.
The museum will be open to the public on Saturday 20 September and Sunday 21 September 2025 from 2.30pm to 7pm.
There will be two screenings of the two short films: on Saturday 20 September at 5.30pm and at 7pm.
