Description
Food pairing - Cheese & Beer
Our Accords & Découvertes events are back on Thursday 25 June with an experience based on gourmet delights and discovery. This session features subtle pairings between cheese and beer, revealing new harmonies between textures, aromas and sensations, for a true sensory voyage to the heart of the terroir.
A tasting event with a new format
The concept behind these events is to combine a visit with a tasting session. Take a stroll through the museum, and during your visit you'll be offered a number of cheese-tasting opportunities to delve into the complex and infinite world of cheese and beer pairings.
Surprising pairings?
Cheese and beer pairings are not all that surprising. Did you know that some cheeses even include beer in their composition? Corsica, for example, is matured with chestnut beer. This event is designed to take you on a journey to the heart of France's regions, to discover the different terroirs and enrich your knowledge and taste buds... through a selection of PDO cheeses, accompanied by local beers chosen to create delicious and surprising combinations.
The Mont Hardi brewery in Château-Gontier will be offering you its zythological expertise in beer. You'll discover some surprising combinations, the influence of the cereal flavours of the beers combined with the lactic flavours of the cheeses.
