To mark European Heritage Days, the Mayenne Departmental Archives are opening their doors to you! An immersive guided tour of the Archives is on offer, giving you the chance to discover the roles and responsibilities involved in preserving Mayenne’s written heritage.
Wander freely, at your own pace, through the working and storage areas of the Mayenne Departmental Archives to meet the professionals who work on collecting, organising, preserving and making the archives accessible. Spend some quality time with them to find out more about their work, particularly through hands-on activities.
Tours run continuously throughout the afternoon until 5.45 pm.

- Discover the exhibition “Imagine your Mayenne: different perspectives on the landscape”. Four classes, from primary school to sixth form, have embarked on a documentary, critical and artistic project to explore changes to the landscape around their schools and share their perspectives through photography.
- An introduction to genealogy with the Mayenne Genealogical Society.
