An exceptional event is coming to Laval! In August 2026, Laval will be hosting a double international climbing competition: the European Senior Speed and Difficulty Championships, and a Para Climbing World Cup!
Every two years, the continent's best climbers come together to compete for the title of European Champion, and Espace Mayenne will be the place to decide this title for the speed and difficulty disciplines.
To accompany this major competition, we are also hosting a World Cup para-escalation event, which will bring together the world's elite in the discipline, alongside able-bodied athletes.
Paralympic sport on the programme of the Los Angeles 2028 Games, para-escalation is booming, and the competition we are organising will put para athletes alongside able-bodied athletes, in an inclusive format that is unique in the world!
The programme includes three days of competition in France's finest climbing arena, where over 300 athletes are expected to compete, representing more than 30 countries! The Mayenne region confirms its major place in the international calendar.
