Description
An exhibition organised as a discovery trail across five venues: the courtyard of the Old Castle, the Alain Gerbault space, the Perrine Garden, the Albert Legendre Library and the Town Hall foyer.
200 years ago, Nicéphore Nièpce invented photography and changed the way we see the world. Through the image, it became possible to capture reality as it is.
Very quickly, the city became a source of inspiration for photographers. In Laval, from as early as 1860, streets, monuments and scenes of everyday life were gradually immortalised.
Over time, their perspective evolved, alongside photographic techniques, offering a new way of discovering the city.
