Description
From 4 October 2026 to 25 April 2027, the ‘Ship Earth’ exhibition invites you to take a step back and contemplate our planet, and to reflect on our place in this world – whilst keeping your feet firmly on the ground!
Do you really realise just how extraordinary our planet is? Born of a fortunate combination of circumstances, it brings together a set of exceptional conditions that have allowed life to emerge. Lost in the vastness of space, this tiny home for life is under threat from one of its inhabitants, who is making life difficult for it.

From 4 October 2026 to 25 April 2027, the ‘Spaceship Earth’ exhibition invites you to take a step back and contemplate our planet, and to reflect on our place in this world, whilst keeping your feet firmly on the ground!
Developed with the support of the ESA, the CNES and NASA, this exhibition at the Cité de l’espace (Toulouse) is a scientific and poetic journey offering a fresh perspective on a subject that is, by definition, as old as the world itself: the Earth. Its future is closely linked to the growing awareness of a humanity that seems to be waiting for the planets to align before making choices that are, in fact, crucial both today and for years to come.
Whether you are reading this from the Mayenne or on the other side of the globe, you are aboard the same spacecraft, hurtling through the vacuum of space at nearly 2.3 million km/h along with its entire galaxy.
