One of the pioneering groups in French rap, Sniper was formed in 1997 in the Val-d’Oise, centred around Aketo, Tunisiano, Blacko and DJ Boudj.
They quickly made their mark on the music scene with powerful albums such as *Du rire aux larmes* (2001), *Gravé dans la roche* (2003) and *Trait pour trait* (2006), blending social commitment, life in the housing estates, social criticism and poetic power. For 2026, Aketo and Tunisiano have announced their return to the stage for a concert tour, under the name Sniper version duo. It is a conscious return to their roots: reviving the classics, performing new songs, and reaffirming their voice in socially conscious rap. Fans can look forward to encores of iconic tracks, but also to discovering a more mature sound, free from past tensions and centred on respect, authenticity and energy.
