Description

The Moon Cabaret: For one evening, the village is transformed into an open-air theatre. A troupe of actors and musicians will take you on a journey through an immersive cabaret experience blending humour, music, poetry and emotion, bringing you right up close to the performers.
THE MOON CABARET A comedy by Anne Busnel 8 actors – 2 musicians SYNOPSIS Between 1860 and 1900, a troupe of actors arrives in a village. They prepare backstage; life in the troupe is in full swing, stirred up by quarrels, love affairs and personalities searching for their place in the world. The time for the cabaret arrives. That evening is rather special: the blue moon shines in the sky and this little world finds itself strangely unsettled. This strange moon will lead each of them to a revelation about themselves, and… about others. Blurring the lines between realism and fantasy, *Le Cabaret de la Lune* takes us on a journey to another artistic and human era that bears a striking resemblance to our own. We witness both the life of a troupe in real time – on stage, behind the scenes and in the dressing rooms – and a show featuring acts from before 1900. DIRECTION: The staging is immersive. We perform without a stage, facing the audience head-on, but also behind, around and amongst the audience thanks to performance pathways. This allows for scenes in motion and a close connection with the audience. Spectators can thus feel as though they are in the middle of a film set.
