Since his debut 25 years ago, the singer-songwriter has been shaping and refining a delicate songwriting style, delighting in venturing where one least expects him. Take, for example, his magnificent latest album (*Our Calling*), a collaboration with Ballaké Sissoko, at the crossroads of Manding blues and British folk. With *Faultlines*, his tenth album on the horizon, we can be sure he’ll continue to surprise and enchant us on stage.
