Then someone had the mad idea of mixing bluegrass, Finnish folk and rock/metal. The result? Steve ‘n’ Seagulls. The band you didn’t realise you’d been missing, but now know you want to listen to again. Hailing straight from Finland, this merry band is now going stronger and faster than ever. To cut a long story short: in 2014, the band filmed three live music videos on a farm. The second one – their fresh, original cover of AC/DC’s classic ‘Thunderstruck’ – set the internet alight. Suddenly, this ‘flock of seagulls’ found themselves travelling the globe, recording an album and touring non-stop at a breakneck pace. Since 2014, Steve ‘n’ Seagulls have recorded four studio albums. Their debut album, *Farm Machine* (2015), took them on the road for 170 gigs across Europe and North America, thrilling and delighting audiences from small clubs to the biggest European festivals. In 2025, the sun will finally shine on the band’s long-awaited fifth album: *The Dark Side of the Moo!* Recorded and produced with the same team as the previous album, Steve ‘n’ Seagulls have once again pushed and shattered the boundaries of progressive bluegrass and ‘newgrass’ ’. The album fuses genres that are hard to imagine together, and yet they come together and shake hands like old friends. Featuring a mix of original compositions and reworked classics, this album creates a delicious new ‘musical stew’, ready to be served up on their 2025 European tour.
